This suite contains 3 short movements that are all atonal and rely heavily on motifs. Light tonguing and differentiation between triplets and dotted rhythms are crucial. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.

Bellstedt - La Mandolinata
Like many solos by Arban and Clarke, La Mandolinata comes from the cornet solo tradition. This piece demands fluent multiple tonguing and the ability to move smoothly between partials.

Bellstedt - Napoli
Napoli is another cornet solo, but it only has two variations on the theme. This solo contains very fast scalar passages as well as quick leaps as large as a 9th. It is in 6/8 throughout.

Originally composed for trombone, Two Latin Dances is a 21st century work that has now been arranged for trumpet, horn, and tuba. This solo can serve as an introduction to the rhythms and style of two different types of Latin music: Bossa Nova and Tango.
