Handel - Adagio and Allegro from Sonata in E

This piece is an arrangement of movements 1 and 2 from Handel's Sonata in E HWV 373 for violin, transposed down a half step from the original. The adagio lends the opportunity to play expressively within the Baroque style and without the use of rubato. The Allegro has a consistently high tessitura and contains little rest.

Handel - Concerto for Trumpet

Concerto for Trumpet is in four movements in a slow-fast-slow-fast format, with only a brief pause between them. The first movement is lyrical and very slow, with the eighth note as the pulse. The second movement is allegro and uses sixteenth notes in sequences. The third movement returns to the slow singing style, and the final movement brings back the idea of slurred sixteenth note runs.
